Map & Walkthrough

PC Gamer's review clocked the main route at about a dozen hours, and media hands-on estimates put it around 12-15 hours depending on how much your group explores — the full puzzle-by-puzzle map guide is still being filled in.

A view across the Big Walk island

How long is Big Walk?

Coverage of the game estimates the main walkthrough at around 12–15 hours for a typical group, and PC Gamer's own review describes finishing the story after “a dozen hours” of play. These are media estimates from actual playthroughs, not an official developer figure — treat them as a ballpark rather than a guarantee, since it will vary a lot with how much your group explores versus beelines the route, and how many optional puzzles you stop for.

What's on the map

Community-compiled resources point to points of interest, puzzles, towers, keys, stations and item locations across the world. These are third-party, community-maintained references rather than an official in-game map, so treat exact locations as generally reliable but not guaranteed to be 100% accurate or complete this soon after launch.

All 5 towers, in order

Because Big Walk only launched recently, community accounts of individual puzzles still disagree with each other in places — each tower guide below says explicitly which details are cross-confirmed and which aren't, rather than presenting everything as equally certain. The five towers, in the order most groups reach them:

  1. Red Tower — the first major tower; its key opens the Map Room. Includes the 4166 / 1899 number puzzle.
  2. Green Tower — its key activates the chairlift.
  3. Yellow Tower — its key opens the tunnel.
  4. Blue Tower — its key activates the island trains.
  5. Black Tower — only opens once the other four are done; its key opens the Wall, leading to the Black Sphere and the first ending.

Planning a session

Given the estimated 12–15 hour main route and that Big Walk supports 2–12 players, most groups will want to plan for multiple sessions rather than one sitting — especially if you're coordinating across time zones or platforms. For player limits and crossplay details, see the player count guide.
